Hey I'm Maddie Riggs I'm 15 years old and go to Highland High school baby home of the HAWKS! I am a going into Sophmore year this August! I am an Arizona Girl and I LOVE the heat and the cactus and the sunsets and the lightning and thunderstorms during Monsoon season. I Play Basketball and run Cross country & track. I love to run! I play the Cello in school, sing choir in school, and play the Piano. I have 3 older sisters in my family and my brother in law and mom and dad.

We beat South Valley!!!

Haha we have soo much fun!

So far our Cross Country team is undefeated! Last year we almost were, but South Valley was the only team to beat us. This year Coach Pendola and Coach Sloan were really wanting to beath SVJHS soo bad so they prepared us about 4 weeks ahead! Haha we had a meeting talking all about it, we had practices over the Winter Break, and we had to eat healthy, and work really hard! We all knew that South Valley had a huge, intimidating, and amazing team! About 2 days before the meet, a new girl named Ashley came to our school in my P.E. class and she joined Cross Country, becuase she did it at her old school in St. George Utah. So at practice everybody noticed how fast she was and this excited me aLOT!! So then at the meet she came in 1st, and I got 4th place and a couple SV girls in between... but we WON! I am sooo excited! We have great chances of winning the Gold at the Conference meet this year!
